INSURANCE DEFENSE LITIGATION
The Bailey Law team specializes in providing defense services to insurance companies and their insureds—both individuals and businesses. The firm handles both first- and third-party insurance defense litigation involving personal injury from auto accidents, slip and falls, construction, as well as contract disputes, bad faith claims and more. We will use our expertise and background to partner with our clients to determine a resolution that makes sense for each individual case—whether it be a just settlement for all parties, advocating at trial or considering alternative means of resolution such as mediation.
INSURANCE COVERAGE
The Bailey Law team is committed to researching complex coverage issues. The team provides coverage opinions regarding unique issues involving bodily injury, property damage, pollution, and more. Our attorneys will pursue or defend declaratory judgment actions and litigation related to coverage issues, utilizing our knowledge of the insurance industry and expertise in insurance litigation to produce successful outcomes for our clients.
Some of the appellate litigated coverage cases Karen Bailey has been involved with include Drake-Williams Steel, Inc. v. Cont’l Cas. Co., 294 Neb. 386 (2016); Gage County, Nebraska v. Employers Mutual Cas. Co., 304 Neb. 926 (2020).
INSURANCE FRAUD INVESTIGATIONS
The team at Bailey Law has expertise in handling fraud investigations for insurance companies. Our attorneys will prioritize the investigation of suspicious claims involving theft, arson, auto accidents, property damage and more. We use a collaborative approach between our attorneys, insurance carriers’ special investigation units and other local agencies, including law enforcement, to obtain the information needed to complete a thorough investigation. After our diligent investigation, we provide carriers with analysis of the investigation and key events as it relates to policy coverage for the claim.
